For all the hassle it is to replace a battery in a MacBook Pro, it would be better to choose another vendor with a longer-lasting product. When I called them, just out of warranty, the staff was friendly with a kind of "bummer, dude" attitude, but would not replace the product. Just happened to be in the computer doing another operation when I noticed the swelling. MacBook Pro was used with separate keyboard and mouse, so I didn't notice that the battery had swelled to the point that the trackpad couldn't be used. Never left with power attached when not used. Always correctly maintained per Apple recommendations. Rating: 1/5 I would not recommend this product! SeptemPurchased this replacement battery late June, 2020. This review is from NewerTech NuPower 95 Watt-Hour Battery Replacement Kit for 15" MacBook Pro with Retina Display (Late 2013 - Mid 2015). So I'm sad that I have to remove the OWC - I thought it was a keeper!Īttached is an image of the OWC battery not being able to be charged by my laptop after just five months of use. So while my 2013 MBP couldn't charge the OWC battery, it was able to charge an OEM one from 2014. I sent it to a repair shop who reported that it had the wrong battery in it, and that the A1398 has three different versions of batteries - one for 2012 and late 2013 models, another for late 20 models and a third for the 2015 model. Rating: 2/5 Doesn't work with all 2013 Macbook Pros OctoI bought and installed this battery in my A1398 late 2013 Macbook Pro based on the main page's information that this worked with but "all 15" Apple MacBook Pro with Retina display (Late 2013 to Mid 2015) models." But after five months, the battery stopped charging. Verified Buyer Reviewer: AverageCoral-62983
